Co-Founder and Tutor

Alex Baxter

Alex grew up and was educated in Oxford. He read Human, Social, and Political Science (HSPS) at Magdalene College, Cambridge, and took a first-class degree. Following this, he gained a Master of Philosophy in Intellectual History and Political Thought. For his research, he was both a Bundy Scholar and a Cambridge Trust scholar.

Alex has been privately tutoring since 2017 and has thousands of hours of tutoring experience. He has taught a wide range of age groups, from 7+ years old to university students. He also has a highly specialised Oxbridge Admissions mentoring process which he personally developed for Humanities applicants.

In his spare time, he is a keen sailor, cook and reader.

Co-Founder and Tutor

Lucas Davison

Lucas spent his formative years in the North of England before reading Philosophy, Politics and Economics (PPE) at Lady Margaret Hall, University of Oxford. At Oxford he was awarded a University Scholarship and a Quantitative Research Scholarship for a data networks project.

Lucas has been tutoring since 2018 and similarly has thousands of hours of tutoring experience. Having studied PPE, he has experience spanning the Humanities and STEM. He has helped students apply for Humanities and STEM subjects across UK universities and is a highly experienced and personable tutor.

In his spare time, Lucas plays football, enjoys reading and writing. He runs the operations side of Balsham.
